RRTC San Antonio Leader
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio

Jennifer Sharpe-Potter’s primary clinical interest is opioid use behaviors in individuals with pain and substance use disorders. Dr. Potter’s research focuses on developing empirically-supported treatments that integrate psychosocial and medication interventions for substance use disorders. Her current research focuses on two main areas: (1) understanding the role of pain-related cognitive, behavioral, and physiological processes on opioid use behaviors; and (2) identifying mechanisms of behavior change based on these processes that are amenable to intervention.
